“And with that, the 2022 season comes to an end.”
Yesterday, December 31st, I spent some time reflecting and journaling about 2022. I sat at the dining table of my partner and I’s new condo thinking about how much we accomplished. In the spring I quit my first job and started a travel nurse contract nearly 6,000 miles away from home.
During my contract, I was able to reconnect with old friends and family that I hadn’t seen in years. I experienced what it was like for my partner and me to live on our own. I learned how to drive on freeways and highways. I went to my first multi-day music festival. I traveled to and explored 4 different states. I experienced the magic of Disneyland. I allowed myself to live life happily and freely.
This didn’t come without its own hardships. After returning home from my contract I learned the importance of truly creating SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound) life goals. I learned more about myself and what I want with life, or more specifically, what I don’t want in my life.
I know this blog post doesn’t explain much, but follow me on my journey and I’ll tell you about everything I’ve learned and everything that I’m still learning. As 2022 makes its exit, I’m welcoming 2023 with a new outlook!
Wishing you all endless health and wealth this 2023.
Until next time! Salamat and si yu’us ma’ase!
